Squamish – Smoke Bluffs
Sam had a day off on Tuesday which co-incided with a brief respite in the cloud and rain. We decided to make the most of the weather and head up to Squamish to go on a hike with Emily (and doggies). With the weather being uncertain we decided not to go for the more technical climbs but instead headed to Smoke Bluffs park. The park is a haven for rock climbers with accesible sheer cliff faces (and over 15 different walls to climb) but is also serviced with a well maintained loop with some excellent views of Howe Sound and the surrounding mountains.
The walk is also only 15 minutes from Emily’s front door so one that doesnt need a car (once you are in Squamish that is). With some some considerable inclines its a short hike that gets the heart and blood pumping so good for exercise. The views at the top on a clear day like Tuesday are simply incredible.
